vistlip Involved In Car Accident

Recently vistlip was in a very severe car accident. The accident happened at 1:15 in the morning, and the driver at the time was Tomo at the Joshin-estu Expressway. The vehicle struck the left side of the tunnel wall. Containing 8 people in the vehicle, one of them being their manager Asako Sakakibara, whom unfortunately passed away.

The band seems to be fine, however they will be canceling all of their lives and instores until September 26th. Any future announcements will be posted as soon as we hear about them.

Fun Fact: Kanon Can Dodge Flames?

Okay so maybe it didn’t go down quite like that, but there was a fire incident. However there was no actual fire at the convention. All of the convention was evacuated to prevent any injuries, delaying some of the panels. It was announced on Otakon’s website that there was actually no fire at all, and someone pulled the fire alarm.

Despite that, it seems that Kanon’s panel was not affected greatly by it. He posted on his official Twitter worried that his panel would be canceled, but he posted just a few minutes ago that everything went well!

Aoi’s Single Details!

Aoi, vocalist of 彩冷える (Ayabie) has released the details of his first solo CD release that we first mentioned here. The single, entitled “MI DA RA” will be released on September 8th and will be released in two versions; Limited Edition costing ¥1500 with 4 tracks and a DVD and the Regular Edition costing ¥1000 with 6 tracks.

Irokui Announces Mini-Album!

Irokui have announced the release of a new mini-album entitled “確率的です。でも、法則です。” (Kakuritsuteki. Demo, Housoku Desu) set for sale on September 22nd.

The mini-album will be available in two editions; Limited for ¥2,800and Regular for ¥2,200. Both types will have the same CD tracklist, the only difference between the two types is that the Limited Edition will include a bonus DVD with the PC to “確率的です。でも、法則です。”

BUCK-TICK’s New Album!

Buck-Tick’s latest single “Kuchizuke” will be released in the next few days, but already they have plans for the next album. The band’s 18th album to date will be released on the 13th of October and come in two versions: Limited and Regular. The CD itself doesn’t have a title but we know it will have 15 tracks including their latest songs “Dokudanjo Beauty” and “Kuchizuke”.

The Limited Edition will come in Blu-spec format, which is similar in quality to Blu-Ray but can be played on a standard CD player. It will also include a DVD that will feature a music video, an interview, and possibly more! You can see the prices and links for each version below:

Head Phones President Releasing New Album!

HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT

Having already completed a South American tour earlier this year, HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT now has more in store for their fans! On September 3rd, the band will be releasing a new album titled “Pobl Lliw” that will cost ￥2,000.

This album will be a self cover so the tracklist will feature re-recorded tracks and some new versions of previously released songs. Also, the album will only be available through Tower Records (Japan), as stated in HEAD PHONES’ official site. Below we have the cover art and a link to pre-order the album:

vistlip in Car Accident

Late last night, the members of vistlip and their manager were involved in a terrible car crash. There were 8 people total riding in the van that belonged to Tomo, vistlip’s vocalist, as they drove back from a concert. Around 1 am (Japan time) the van crashed into the side of Nagae Tunnel in Nakano resulting in the death of vistlip’s manager, Asako Sakakibara, who was thrown from the vehicle and died from the impact.

The other passengers, including the members of vistlip, were treated for minor injuries and there have not been any other fatalities reported, thus far. As of now, there haven’t been any reports stating the cause of the accident but perhaps we’ll see word from the band members themselves about what happened.

We hope the band can recover from the tragic loss of their manager and that they heal quickly from the injuries they might have sustained.

As it is their 21st anniversary, LUNA SEA has been posting some new updates on their official site. Last time, they announced a new Twitter and YouTube channel, and now they have just joined Facebook! With all their new sites being in English, the band has definitely been taking into account their overseas fans!

INORAN Releasing Live DVD!

INORAN will be releasing a live DVD on the 22nd of September entitled “TOUR 2010 “Watercolor”.” The DVD will come with two discs, and come with 16 live songs. The live was filmed during his live at Shinkiba SUDIO COAST on May 22nd, 2010. The DVD will also feature footage from an interview during a fan meeting in Taiwan on May 29th, 2010.

Those of you who order the first pressing of the DVD will get a 20 page photo book, as well as a special slip case. DVD details below.

There’s more info for kannivalism’s brand new single “split recollection”! Like I mentioned back in mid June. The single will come in two types; limited and regular. Alice Nine Members Shou & Saga Join Twitter!

Exciting news for Alice Nine fans on Twitter, vocalist 将 (Shou) and bassist 沙我 (Saga) have now joined the popular site!

Shou has only been a member for two days now, joining on July 27th, and already has over 6,700 followers! Additionally, he has friended a few other familiar faces including, Aoi of the GazettE, Ryosuke of Lolita23q, and Takanori Nishikawa! You can find him over at AliceNine_SHOU.

As for Saga, he has just joined Twitter yesterday on July 28th, and is his account is already boasting over 3,600 followers in just one day’s time! So far he is only following his bandmate Shou, but perhaps he’ll friend some others down the line. You can find him over at AliceNine_saga.

THE SOUND BEE HD US Debut at Nekocon!

THE SOUND BEE HD

According to a tweet made by HearJapan yesterday evening, we were expecting some exciting news soon from the amazingly talented band THE SOUND BEE HD! At the time of the original tweet, there was no clue as to what it may be, but it has now been officially announced, THE SOUND BEE HD will be making their US debut at Nekocon this November!

You may be familar with the convention already from when Suicide Ali performed there just last year. It will take place in the same location at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Virginia on November 5th through 7th. Other musical guests are VJ Valet of Mile High and DJ Hip*Starr, who may be better known as Tony G of the band echostream.

Who is planning on attending THE SOUND BEE HD’s very first live in America? This band is seriously a good one, so we hope they get a warm welcome!
