THE BACK HORN has announced that they will be releasing a brand new single soon!

The single, entitled, “閉ざされた世界”(Tozasareta Sekai) is planned to be released in just a little over a month, on August 4th. The single will be available in two different types, a regular edition as well as a limited edition. The limited edition will come with a special bonus of a “wide cap” sticker along with an 00 encode card.

Another exciting detail for the release is that the title track,” 閉ざされた世界” (Tozasareta sekai) is being featured as the theme song for the “Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -A Wakening of the Trailblazer-” movie! Additionally the third track, “警鐘 ” (Keishou) will also be featured as the movie’s campaign song.

GLAY will be releasing their 42nd single in September on the 8th! It will be entitled “Precious”, and come with a four different tracks. We mentioned earlier this month that Plastic Tree will be coming out with a brand new single next month on the 28th entitled “ムーンライト―――。(Moonlight)”. Creature Creature fans might want to tune into TOKYO FM’s RADIO DRAGON on the 21st of July! Morrie and Sakura will be on the show, and you guys will be able to talk directly to them. The show starts at 21:35(8:25PM) Japan time. The segment on RADIO DRAGON is called “JACK IN THE RADIO”, led by none other than ムック(MUCC)’s vocalist 逹瑯(Tatsurou)!

Great news for Miyavi fans, J-Glam has announced that he will be releasing a brand new single this fall!

With Miyavi on tour, those of you who have been able to see him perform may have noticed a few new songs he’s been playing at recent lives. The songs, entitled, “Torture”, “Unbreakable”, and “Gravity” have been previously unreleased. However, now with the announcement of the new single, it looks like fans will get a chance to own one of these new songs.

The single, entitled, “Torture” will feature the title track and is set for release on September 15th. It will be his first single released on EMI and will be made available in two different types, both limited and regular edition. The regular edition will only come with the one track and is a “one-coin” single, priced at ¥500. While the limited version will feature an additional “extra-long” live track, along with a special bonus of tattoo stickers for ¥1500.

However, the new single isn’t the only new release Miyavi has planned for later this year! In addition to the single, he will be releasing a full album on October 13th. Unfortunately, further information is limited, but with all of these new songs being performed, we do have at least some idea of what to expect. Not to mention, Miyavi has been tweeting about composing another new song lately!

Also, for those who own a Japanese cellphone, you have a chance to win a very special prize! From today up until July 20th, the new song, “Torture” will be made available for free download through the site Recochoku.jp. Fans who have a cellphone with the ability to download the track will be automatically entered into a raffle for their chance to win. The prize is pretty impressive too! Three winners will receive a name-printed, laminated, “Access All Venues” pass to all of the 12 shows in his Tokyo tour! So be sure to enter the contest, over here, if you are able to!

Having started his chain of tours with a show in Tokyo last September, 雅-MIYAVI- has since played in Russia, Europe, South America, Asia, Japan again, and now North America; 60 dates in 10 months, and literally around the globe.

Now, three years since his last release and the first single from EMI Music Japan has been confirmed! Co-produced by former Strokes engineer Toshikazu Yoshioka, the sheer heaviness of the track makes it hard to believe that the only instruments you hear on it are 雅-MIYAVI-`s trademark slap-guitar and the tight drums by Bobo (from legendary post-rock band 54-71). Some unfortunate news for HORA fans. Seems the modulate god has come down with an illness that requires his attention over his music. A lot of fans have been concerned about him retiring, but it’s not true at all. He mentions in his statement found on his voice room blog that it is simply a pause until he can regain his health again.

We’ve translated his most latest entry which touched on the subject of his decision to stop making music for the time being.

Hello everyone, I have something important to tell you.
On the 30th of June, I will be releasing my final album.
I’ve been sick for quite some time now, and I feel that continuing on with music will become too difficult as time goes on.
There’s still so many more ways I want to express myself in music, I have to focus on getting better, and receiving medical treatment for the time being. So until I get better, I think it’s best to stop making music for a while.

All the way up until the activity pause, I’ve always felt very thankful for those who have supported me. This will be a compilation for this occasion. “WISDOM”, will be my last album.
After 10 years, I really felt like my music was going somewhere, I feel my new songs are a continuation of this.

My last album “WISDOM” will come with two CDs. DISC 1 will be the new album with all of the new songs. DISC 2 are songs that were carefully selected by me, to be something like a best of album.
I’ve put a lot of personal emotions and feelings into this album, and I’m really happy with the results.

I will do my best to update VOICE ROOM when I can, so please check back once in a while.

It is rather sad news, but we do want to wish him better as soon as possible.

You can purchase his album WISDOM via his website. Like HORA said in his entry, it will contain two CDs. A best of album as well as his new album. It comes out today, but there may still be copies left. It is extremely limited to only 500 copies, so make sure you do it as soon as possible. You can order it for 4,200yen.

A lot of AnCafe fans will be quite excited about this! Bassist Kanon will be appearing as a special guest to Baltimore, Maryland’s Otakon this year! He will be participating in panels, as well as an autograph session on the weekend. Also, during the “Otakurave”, he will be a guest DJ for the night!

The convention will be running July 30th until August 1st, and will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center. Tickets are $65.00 each with the discount, but if you wait after July 3rd you will have to pay $75.00 to participate. You can pre-order your tickets here.

Some unfortunate news for BLOOD STAIN CHILD fans. It was announced a little while ago that Vocalist SADEW and drummer Violator will be leaving the band. The band wrote an announcement on their official MySpace. You can read it below.

As of June 2010, SADEW [Vocals] and Violator [Drums] are resigning from the band.

SADEW is leaving due to musical differences, or rather to embark on a journey towards self-realization.

Violator inherited his father’s business in a state of  many, different feelings, so he is no longer able to continue band activities.

All of you who supported SADEW and Violator until now, thank you very much.

Regarding the next album, we have already recruited and started working with a session vocalist and a drummer.

Apart from the member change, our next work, is by far superior than anything we have done until now, so please look forward to it.

BLOOD STAIN CHILD are constantly evolving, making new efforts and opening up to brand new worlds , so please continue to support us from now on.

Furthermore, an announcement for the new members will soon follow, so please wait  for a while.

Great news for European UnsraW fans. The band has heard your demand for them to return! They have decided that they will embark on a Euro tour in September. No dates have been decided just yet, but according to CLJ Records, the place who made it possible, said they will participating at IFA in Berlin.

Pretty amazing news right? We’ll update you guys with the tour dates as soon as they’re released!

As many of you already know, the World Cup is being held lately causing quite an uproar with a multitude of soccer-fans and bandmen are no exception. With Japan competing in the World Cup, we’ve seen quite a few different musicians make an appearance online cheering for their team. In rare cases, even featured on national television, such as Wataru’s funny moment on the Hong Kong news.

Japan’s recent match up against Paraguay unfortunately ended with defeat, however their team’s tough fight seemed to instill a lot of hope into their fans as they came very close to winning the cup. Here’s what various bandmen have been tweeting about the game:

キャンゼル(Canzel) has one more surprise for their fans before they disband. They mentioned that they will also release a memorial book to commemorate the band’s lifespan. It will be entitled “FRIEND”, and is going to be on sale for 1,575, releasing on the 7th of July. The book will come with 32 A5 sized pages in full color. The contents will include a personal interview with each member, and a lot of unpublished photos.

Unfortunately the book is limited to only 1,000 copies. So purchase it wherever you can!

Great news everyone, 東京ヒーローズ(Tokyo Heroes) has recently got a brand new look, and revealed a new member! It’s none other than ゴキミ(Gokimi) the bassist of グルグル映畫館(Guruguru Eigakan)! Don’t worry, he will still remain with Eigakan, but as you know, they are on hiatus. You can read about their hiatus here.

We also mentioned that Tokyo Heroes will be releasing a new single entitled “twinkle”. Last week the band upped the preview for their new PV, so you also get a small hint at what the single is going to be like. It’s only 53secs but hopefully it’s enough to curb some of the anticipation. Check it out!
