There is going to be an interesting event being held this summer in celebration of a rather popular media site’s anniversary! Can you guess who? It’s none other than BARKS!

BARKS formed ten years ago, and in celebration of this very special anniversary, they have organized an exciting little “thank you” event. The live event will be held on July 11th at Zepp Tokyo and will have some pretty well known guests performing including, MUCC, J, and Pay money To my Pain!

Tickets are already on general sale for the live and have been priced at ¥5250 each. For more information on the event, be sure to check out the feature page they’ve made for it, over here.

It’s really great to see a site like BARKS celebrating such a huge turning point. Running such a successful site for a decade must really take a lot of hard work!

.EXE’s New Look, New Releases & More!

Posted by Noah On April - 29 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Remember the band, .EXE, that we introduced just a few months ago in February? There is all sorts of great news for the young band, including a new look, new releases, and more!

First off, the band has just released a brand new single, entitled, “TRANSLATOR” earlier this month on April 7th! There isn’t a lot of details available on the new release, however, it seems to be their second single release so far and was priced at ¥500.

Additionally, they have also just announced that they will be releasing their very first DVD soon. The DVD, entitled, “Delayt” is planned to be released early next month on May 7th. More details will be available in the near future. Seems like these guys are really keeping themselves busy lately!

As for the band’s brand new look, it’s definitely a huge change from their previous one. While their style before had played a bit with colors, this style is notably more dark. However, it’s not a bad change for them and it does seem to suit them pretty well. Unfortunately, there’s not a very large image of their group photo available yet, but here’s a peek at the small one they do have. What do you guys think of their new look?

Also, it might seem like the band has a new member, but really guitarist 斗亞 (Touah) has just changed his name to the rather simple name, ヒノ (Hino). Don’t worry about having to change your bookmarks for his blog though, he doesn’t seem to have plans to change it just yet.

Virulent’s New Look And New Drummer!

Posted by Noah On April - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Virulent, who we just introduced a short time ago, has some big news for their fans! The band has just recently announced that they have added a brand new member to their line-up, a drummer named 翔 (Kakeru).

However, this isn’t the end of the great news, Virulent has also updated their style, giving us our first look at the new drummer! You can see their new group photo above, however, for those of you who want another look at each of the members, here’s a peek at their profile photos. They look pretty good this time around, don’t they? Kakeru definitely seems to fit right in with the other three members too!

Last, but not least, there are also some new song samples available on their Official MySpace! Be sure to check them out and add them, as they still don’t have many friends on the site just yet.

It’s great to see the band working so hard and moving forward with such speed! Their new look already looks great and they really seem to be polishing up quite nicely, so it seems like they are making the most of their potential. Hopefully we will have more good news from them soon!

Canzel Joins Mixi!

Posted by Kaiden On April - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

キャンゼル(Canzel) recently updated their OHP with their brand new look! It features a slightly.. vaction-y? theme. I don’t know how to describe it, haha. However the dark, yet colorful look somehow works with the band. I’m really loving Haku’s and Mio’s looks personally. What do you guys think?

Also, for those of you whom are joined up to Mixi, the band has just now finally decided to join! You can find them below.

Activity pause for 9GOATS BLACK OUT

Posted by Paisley On April - 27 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

There is a bit of unfortunate news for fans of 9GOATS BLACK OUT recently.  It seems they will temporarily pause activities on May 7th of this year, after their one-man live called “the Orphee” which will be held at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO.

The reason for this decision is simply because the band members would like to prepare for their future musical activities.

While that is not exactly cause for panic, fans are sure to worry. But, perhaps the members really do just need a break for a while and hopefully will start up activities soon enough!
