シド (SID) has some great news for their fans. The band has announced that they will be releasing a brand ne single, entitled, “sleep” early in the new year on March 3rd!

The new single will be available in three different types, a limited Type A, a limited Type B, and a regular edition. Both Type A and Type B will come with a special DVD featuring footage from the band’s recent tour, “SID TOUR 2009 hikari”. The DVD for each type will feature different footage.

Both limited versions of the release have been priced at 1700 while the regular edition is priced at only 1250.

A really new band, Luzmelt will release their first mini-album on February 24th! The name of the mini-album is “swallowed scenery”, and will come with five full tracks with bonus gifts. The bonus gifts for this release is a 16page booklet and a picture label. This mini-album is limited to 1,000copies.

Terrible thing was made on an announcement for ダウナー(Downer). Anzu was recently taken to the hospital for influenza and was not able to make a performance on their 31st event in December, the remaining members continued without him. The message on the OHP read this:

Thank you, everyone, for supporting Downer. On the 30th of December, vocalist Anzu was taken into the hospital to get a examination since he did not feel well. His diagnosis was influenza and was very contagious. So we regret to inform you, but he will not be at the live on December 31st, only us, the four members Miu, Hirari, Kagome, and Rion.

We are sorry that this has happened, but we hope everyone has excitement still for our live anyway, we did not mean to cause trouble. Aside from this one live, the rest of our schedule will continue as five members, please look forward to it, and keep supporting us.

I hope Anzu is in good health when returning in January! It is really cold in Japan right now, it is not a shocking thing for influenza to spread so quickly. So reminder to everyone, take care of yourself, and make sure to eat healthy!

After Miyavi had to cancel his world tour, he had to battle with his wounds, and after that, he reclaimed his health and is now working closely with J-glam to reschedule the tour so that he can perform for his overseas fans. Though Miyavi’s staff urges everyone to make sure they get their ticket refunded!

J-glam recently left a comment on their official MySpace, which you can check out here, about the update on Miyavi’s world tour. Here is what they had to say:

We would like to inform you regarding the tickets for the postponed USA Tour which was scheduled for October/November 2009.

As of this moment, J-glam Inc. is making the best effort to reschedule the tour in 2010.  However we must first inform you, that we will no longer be working with the US local promoter ‘H.U.G. Inc.’, who was in charge of MIYAVI’s 2009 tour and event planning.

Concerning the USA Tour which is being planned for 2010, we will be working with a different local promoter/event organizer to chose the cities, venues and will also be reselling new tickets.  For those who have already purchased the 2009 tickets, please have it refunded.

We are aware that there are countless fans in the US who are looking forward to hearing about the next MIYAVI US tour.  MIYAVI and staff as one, will do our best to announce the rescheduled US tour dates and information as soon as possible.  Thank you for understanding and we really appreciate your support.

We look forward to seeing you in 2010 !!

So it’s not great that he canceled, but hey Miyavi had to get better so he can perform again, right? Thankfully they’re rescheduling, so you can see him, maybe even again if you caught tour the first time around. But, the news doesn’t stop there for Miyavi. He was recently signed to a new label named EMI MUSIC JAPAN, you can check his page out here on their label site. Which includes this CM-like video, which was also uploaded to Miyavi’s YouTube channel.

On this new label he will be releasing a brand new live DVD, it will be entitled “NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR vol.1″, and it will be a world tour documentary DVD. Going on sale on March 24th! Megaromania will also be another UNDER CODE band that will be having a new release on March 10th. It’s a brand new ’selection’ album entitled “Oblivious”, and will come in two types; however Megaromania has switched it up on everyone on naming their limited version the ‘wonderful’ version. The regular edition will come with a bonus track as well as a trading card that will be selected out of 6 different types. The ‘wonderful’ version will also include a trading card, as well as a special DVD, which will include 40 minutes of live footage.

Remember that mysterious band we posted about earlier this month? As we mentioned before the band was planning to reveal their identities on January 1st, and even though it may be December 31st still in some parts of the world, in Japan it’s already the new year! A little strange in a way, isn’t it?

This is great news for impatient fans though as the band has already revealed their identities! The band’s name has been revealed as, “Vanish”, here’s the official full line-up:

According to their OHP, the song’s lyrics were written by vocalist MAY and the music was written guitarist kenny.

The legendary band Phantasmagoria has some exciting news recently! It’s not shocking considering the band was recently has been shrouded with mystery lately. Are they back , are they not? No one knows for sure yet, but we do know the band has two releases on the way.

First up is the band’s latest one track single entitled “Diamond Dust”! It will be released on March 10th, and with it will come a 30 minute DVD. The DVD contains footage from their Capital Control live at Tokyo Kinema Club. This is the band’s first release since 2007 after they released their first major single “神歌(kami uta)”. I’m sure all Phantasmagoria fans are excited.

Spangle call Lilli line, a band that formed in the earlier part of the 2000’s, known for it’s soft raspy guitar and soothing vocals. If you’ve never heard of the band before, I highly recommend you check out their MySpace, they are one of my personal favorites.

The band recently announced that they will be releasing a brand new single entitled “dreamer”, and it will be on sale March 17th. This is the first release for the band in almost a year, so fans are probably really excited to hear about this. According to the band, this single is going to be a bit more pop-like, as it’s being produced by a new producer named 永井聖一(Seiichi Nagai), the guitarist of 相対性理論(soutaisei riron).

The single will have a piano version of “nano”, a song that was released during the earlier years of their career. There will also be a remix of “nano” by Hiroshi Kwanabe too. You can purchase the single at Amazon.co.jp for 952yen.

Like we mentioned back in October, kannivalism will be releasing their 2nd album, however no details were known about it at the time. The album will be entitled “helios”, and will be released on March 17th! helios will come in three types. Limited Type A will be a CD+DVD combo for 3,800yen. It will feature 13 tracks, one of them being “life is”, and the DVD will feature a PV and a document video. Limited Edition B will is also a CD+DVD set, also hosting the same tracks as Limited Type A. However the DVD for Limited Type B will have footage from the band’s live at ZeppTokyo on December 26th and will be priced at 3,999yen. The regular edition will cost 3,000yen, and have the same tracks as the other editions.

Not only that, but the band also has a brand new look! A lot darker than what they usually go for, what do you guys think? The band will also perform a live in March on the 30th, the live will be named “she said, under the helios.” and it will be at Nakano Sunplaza. Tickets will cost 4,200yen and they go on sale next year on February 6th!

A lot of important updates for POLYSICS fans! The band has some good news and some bad news for their fans this time around.

First off, let’s start with the bad news. The band has announced that their keyboardist, Kayo, has made the decision to withdraw from the band. This news has come to shock many as she has been a dedicated member of the band since 1998.

According to TokyoGraph, Kayo stated that she had been thinking of withdrawing from the band for a number of years now. It seems like she had doubts on if being a member of the band is how she wanted to spend the rest of her life. She will remain an active member until her final live with POLYSICS on March 14th, 2010 at Nippon Budokan.

As for the good news, POLYSICS has announced that they will coming back to the USA for another tour! The tour is set to begin late next month and will span a total of fourteen lives. Here’s the full list of dates and locations scheduled for the tour below:

We wrote about エゴis≒徒 (Egoist) not too long ago, announcing that they will be releasing a brand new single entitled, “DANGER DO NOT ENTER”. D=OUT will be releasing their second full album entitled “CARNIVAL浮世(Carnival Ukiyo)”. Each version has a different title, such as “～醸～ (-Jo-)/Regular”, “～吟～ (-Gin-)/Limited Type B)”, or “～大～(-Dai-)/Limited Type A”, interestingly enough. It’s due out on March 10th next year and will come with 8 brand new tracks out of 12 tracks total.
