Some really exciting, breaking news! Miyavi tweeted that he may just “show up out of the blue” at the “Spirit of Miyavi” cosplay event being held at SUGOILIFE!
While at first that may have just seemed like a hint at a special surprise, if you go to the SUGOILIFE OHP, the big surprise is revealed! According to the banner on their OHP, the event is a collaboration event being held by the company along with Miyavi. That isn’t the best part of it though, Miyavi himself will be making an appearance at the event as a special guest and honorary judge! Yes, that is right, Miyavi will be judging the cosplays submitted into the contest! Pretty exciting, isn’t it?
So be sure to get your cosplays ready in time for the big event! It will be held at the SUGOILIFE store on Tampa Ave in Northridge, California on June 11th at 6pm sharp.
As many of you probably already know, Megamasso has recently just released their latest single, entitled“Twilight Star”. While we have posted about the release, we have not posted about the series of instore events they have scheduled in order to promote it! The instore events kicked off on May 26th, the official release date of the single, and will continue on up until mid-July. Here’s the complete instore schedule provided on their OHP:

Additionally, for those who may have been wondering why the barcode for the release didn’t work on the band’s flier, there was a mistake. You can find the correct code available on their OHP under the news section of the site.
In other, slightly off topic, news. The band recently RT (re-tweeted) a question from one of their fans along with an answer to the question at hand. The fan asked, “Is there a chance Megamasso comes to Brazil?” and the band answered back with, “At present it doesn’t schedule it… But we want the chance!!”. Looks like the band would like to tour overseas sometime soon, pretty exciting to see. Not to mention, it’s really great to see that the band actually answers their message from fans!

SiSen recently announced on his myspace that he would be returning to LA this week for three events! He also said he would bringing a friend: MOON KANA. You can see her picture below, but ironically, her music is very rock-ish(which you can listen to on her myspace). Her cute vocals dull out the harshness but still not what you would expect from such a doll face. She has been out of limelight for the past two years but will be making her return along with a first-ever US appearance. The graphic that both SiSen and MOON KANA posted is at the bottom of the post, but the print might be a little small(or is it just my computer?) so I’ll give you the details here:

This isn’t the end of all of the good news for the band either! SaTaN has also updated their look now that Mr.SaTaN has re-joined them. Their new look is even darker than their last and seems to stick with an all-black theme. The band is looking pretty good though, it’s definitely a more polished look than they have had previously. What does everyone else think?
Bad news for ヴァレンタイン(Valentine). It looks like the band will be disbanding in April on the 27th at their Fukuoka DRUM SON live. No real reason was given about as to why, but this will be the end of two years for the band. Before they go, they have quite a few lives left, which you can check out here for details. They will also hold one final instore event before they leave as well at SKULLROSE. It will be held on the 3rd of April at 17:00, there you will be able to get their autograph, as well as a chance to take a photo with the band, and a small talking session.
Also the band will release one final single entitle “桜NAIKID(sakura NAIKID)”. It will come with 3 tracks and sell for 1,575yen. It will go on sale officially on the 24th of March.

LIX. updated their OHP with new information for their live schedule!
The band has announced that they will be holding their very first instore event on February 11th at Jishuban Club. The event will begin at 1:00pm and will feature quite a few different segments.
First up, there will be a talk session and a Q&A, following that there will be a very interesting raffle event. According to their site, the prizes for the raffle are actually the member’s personal items! The final part of the instore event will be a handshake and autograph session on your way out.
Interestingly enough, on that very same day the band is holding a live over at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3. Hopefully they won’t be too tired from all of the activities!
Earlier this month we reported that there was a new band on the scene, signed to Ristar Records, named BugLug. The band’s identity was kept a secret and was planned to be revealed in the near future. Luckily for curious fans, their identity is now known!
The band is made up of mostly ex. Ruvie members and originally began as a session band named “Beauty Army”. Once they had decided to make the switch from a session band to an official one, their drummer, とーき (To-ki, ex. 七三式/73Shiki) withdrew from the band leaving them with the remaining four members.
Additionally, as we have mentioned before, the band already has their very first release planned, a mini-album, entitled, “SUPER NOVA”. It will be available on January 27th and is coming out in two types, regular edition as well as a limited edition. The regular edition will be CD only, but will come with a bonus track and is priced at ¥2520. While limited edition comes with a DVD featuring the PV for their song, “-7-” and is priced at ¥2940.
There is an exciting little bonus item available with the new release too. Those who purchase a copy of each type will receive a free ticket to attend their special oneman live at Shibuya club asia on March 6th. That isn’t the end of the good news either, the band also has a handful of instores scheduled for the new year.
January 31st – Jishuban club
February 11th – Shibuya ZEAL LINK
February 28th – Brand-X
Content: Talk, autograph, and handshake sessions.
What does everyone think of the band so far? I have to admit they look a bit different than what I had expected, but their sound doesn’t surprise me! Speaking of their sound, when you visit their OHP, a preview plays for PV, “-7-” that will be on limited edition DVD. Here’s the preview provided via YouTube:
