Just last month, we reported that Miyavi had hinted at the possibility of baby number two. There was no other information available and he has kept quiet about it ever since, but now it’s his wife, Melody’s turn. Melody has posted a blog entry revealing that it’s true, Miyavi and her are expecting their second child together!

hello~~~~
Hey people~~~

Thank you so much for all of your comments and messages congratulating Lovelie for her first birthday last month!!
Yes, she is one year old now and growing healthy everyday!!
At her one year health checkup, i found that she is actually kinda tall compared to children her age, but really skinny for her age too…. lol
She can walk across the room by herself now, and even says the word “daddy”!!
Its really cute~~~~^^*

Also, yes, the “rumor” is true, and I am expecting again!!!!!
We are so excited for the second baby!!!!
Lovelie will be an older sister soon!!!! I cant believe it!
I hope she will be an understanding older sister and play with the new baby a lot.

Well, i’ll write again~~~
Take care everybody!!!

Congratulations to both Miyavi and Melody on their second child! It looks like Lovelie will have a play-mate soon, hopefully she will enjoy having a little brother around. I have to say though, these two really seem to be quite the power-couple! Our best wishes go out to them both.

Many thanks to Janecutieh for sending this into us, we really appreciate it!

GoDeath’s New Look & Movie Appearance

Posted by Noah On August - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

There are a few interesting updates for GoDeath fans, the band not only has a brand new look, but they have also revealed that they are featured in a new movie as well!

The movie, entitled, “結び女-MUSUBIME-“ had it’s very first screening held just earlier today. However, those who have missed the first screening will have another chance to see the movie on September 25th. After each screening the band will actually have a chance to hold a meet and greet with those who had attended the film!

As for the band’s updated new look, they are keeping it fairly casual, but of course with a nice, metal influenced theme. Vocalist 煌 (Kou) and drummer Ali seem to be mixing metal with a feminine touch while guitarist 麻華 (Asaka) and bassist 居場 (Iba) are a bit more androgynous over all. Personally, I think the laid back style of the group image is nice to see, usually group photos seem so serious! What do you guys think?

L’Arc~en~Ciel’s 20th Anniversary Live

Posted by Justyne On August - 22 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

It seems that yet another band will be celebrating a huge milestone in their career soon and this time it’s none other than L’Arc~en~Ciel! L’Arc~en~Ciel formed in 1991 and have since become one of the most well-known and beloved bands in the visual kei industry. But unfortunately, the band announced in 2008 that they would be holding off any new live performances until their 20th anniversary in 2011. Finally, the band has officially announced the details of their first live in two years!

What’s even more exciting is that “L’A HAPPY NEW YEAR!” will take place at midnight on December 31st! The live will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba and there will be a capacity for 20,000 fans to attend! Also, the band plans to release a new single around that time as well as plan a very large tour! This 2011 tour is hoped to be just as large, if not larger, than their last tour in 2008, which covered 7 cities in 10 lives and attracted around 320,000 people!

There are still several months left in the year, but already bands are planning big for 2011. Greeting the new year with L’Arc~en~Ciel will, however, be tough to follow!

boogieman’s Plans To Return!

Posted by Kaiden On August - 20 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Thanks For the news tip invidia! If you checked out boogieman’s OHP recently, the band has left a new announcement concerning the band’s future activity! If you are a little confused on what’s going on with them, the vocalist has retired from the band. The band announced back in late July that they will canceling their current live schedule, and make a future announcement about the band’s activity.

Almost a month later, the band has put up a new announcement on the OHP speaking of just that. They will be indeed coming back, however they need to find a vocalist first. They promise the moment that they find one, they will be making a come back! So don’t worry boogieman fans. This band plans on staying, even through the hardest of times.

Nightmare’s 10th Anniversary T-Shirts

Posted by Justyne On August - 17 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

In celebration of their 10 years together, Nightmare has been doing a lot of exciting things for us. Recently, Japan Discoveries has also helped them do even more! The band will have 5 signature T-shirts made, one designed by each member. But if you want one the only way to get it is if you pre-order one here before August 26th midnight(JPT).

Since it’s a limited edition product, there won’t be very many made and it is probably why they are allowing pre-order purchases only. Through the link above, you can also see for the designs for yourself though the pictures are a bit small. Each shirt will cost 4,200yen and come in ladies’ or mens’ sizes.

Taiji’s Unexpected Return

Posted by Justyne On August - 12 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

If your a long time fan of X Japan, then you probably remember Taiji Sawada, X’s bassist before Heath. It’s been found out that despite his fallout with the band after nearly 20 years, he will be appearing at X Japan’s Nissan Stadium lives as a guest member.

There’s no doubt that this is big news. The friction between Yoshiki and Taiji that led to one member leaving is well known among fans, so to see that the two have actually reconciled and decided to work together again, is something beyond unexpected.

I’ve heard talk of this for some time, but now that it’s been officially confirmed, fans who have bought tickets to the Nissa Stadium lives are in for a big surprise! And from what Yoshiki and Taiji have said in interviews, they seem to really be looking forward to working together after so many years.

Fun Fact: Yoshiki in the Newspaper?

Posted by Justyne On August - 4 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

A few days ago, we announced the addition of yet another Japanese rock star to the list of Twitter users. Yoshiki seems to be very active with his new Twitter account posting about insomnia and preparations for Lollapalooza. Well, today, he tweeted about seeing himself in the LA Times! That’s right, on Sunday’s paper, a big picture of Yoshiki’s face could be seen at the top of the page in the Arts&Books section.

If you can read what that piece of the article says, the writer describes X Japan’s efforts this year to make their official US debut at Lollapalooza and talks about the PV shootings on Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles that occurred in January. He states that X Japan will, of course, be the first Japanese artist to star in the Lollapalooza festival, thereby, making history. The writer also recognizes Yoshiki as being the leader of X Japan (thus the solo shot of him) and how he has also set new records with the first ever Hello Kitty product based on a real person when the company introduced Yoshikitty.

To suddenly see one of the most well-known JRockers in the paper, is pretty exciting! And the author seems to be well-informed. There’s a picture of that front page provided by Yoshiki, here. Did any of you guys happen to fall upon this page on Sunday?
