vistlip Involved In Car Accident

Posted by Kaiden On July - 31 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Recently vistlip was in a very severe car accident. The accident happened at 1:15 in the morning, and the driver at the time was Tomo at the Joshin-estu Expressway. The vehicle struck the left side of the tunnel wall. Containing 8 people in the vehicle, one of them being their manager Asako Sakakibara, whom unfortunately passed away.

The band seems to be fine, however they will be canceling all of their lives and instores until September 26th. Any future announcements will be posted as soon as we hear about them.

There’s a small update for Dir en grey fans planning on attending their North American Tour. The band has just recently announced via their Official Twitter that they have added another live to the tour’s schedule! The newly added live is for lucky fans in Portland, Oregon and is planned to be held on September 12th. Tickets for the live have already gone on presale just yesterday over here.

Additionally, the band has updated their OHP with some new tour goods for their Japanese, “THE UNWAVERING FACT OF TOMORROW TOUR2010″. The new goods include a large variety of T-shirts, muffler towels, stickers, bags, as well as a pass case and phone strap. For a full list of items and prices, click here.

There is some bad news for fans of 日々全てを飲み込むフカモカ (Hibi subete wo nomikomu fukamoka). The band has announced that their vocalist, 玉腰勲 (Tamakoshi Isao) will be withdrawing from the band as of September 5th after his final live with them at Ikebukuro CYBER. The band goes onto say that from the following day of September 6th and on, they will need some time to decide what the outcome of Isao leaving will be.

While this is terrible news, the good news is that there is a handful of lives left until the hiatus. Here’s a list of where and when you can see them before they become inactive:

July 22nd - Ikebukuro Black Hole
July 24th - Nagoya MUSIC FARM
Aug 20th - Meguro Hall
Sept 05th - Ikebukuro CYBER

Hopefully the band will be able to find a replacement vocalist and continue on despite this terrible news! We wish the entire band the best.

HORA Pauses Musical Activities

Posted by Kaiden On June - 29 - 2010 2 COMMENTS

Some unfortunate news for HORA fans. Seems the modulate god has come down with an illness that requires his attention over his music. A lot of fans have been concerned about him retiring, but it’s not true at all. He mentions in his statement found on his voice room blog that it is simply a pause until he can regain his health again.

We’ve translated his most latest entry which touched on the subject of his decision to stop making music for the time being.

Hello everyone, I have something important to tell you.
On the 30th of June, I will be releasing my final album.
I’ve been sick for quite some time now, and I feel that continuing on with music will become too difficult as time goes on.
There’s still so many more ways I want to express myself in music, I have to focus on getting better, and receiving medical treatment for the time being. So until I get better, I think it’s best to stop making music for a while.

All the way up until the activity pause, I’ve always felt very thankful for those who have supported me. This will be a compilation for this occasion. “WISDOM”, will be my last album.
After 10 years, I really felt like my music was going somewhere, I feel my new songs are a continuation of this.

My last album “WISDOM” will come with two CDs. DISC 1 will be the new album with all of the new songs. DISC 2 are songs that were carefully selected by me, to be something like a best of album.
I’ve put a lot of personal emotions and feelings into this album, and I’m really happy with the results.

I will do my best to update VOICE ROOM when I can, so please check back once in a while.

It is rather sad news, but we do want to wish him better as soon as possible.

You can purchase his album WISDOM via his website. Like HORA said in his entry, it will contain two CDs. A best of album as well as his new album. It comes out today, but there may still be copies left. It is extremely limited to only 500 copies, so make sure you do it as soon as possible. You can order it for 4,200yen.

Vidoll on hiatus

Posted by Paisley On June - 10 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Very unfortunate news for fans of ヴィドール (Vidoll)– they will be on hiatus.
It seems their vocalist ジュイ (Jui) has been having problems with his vocal cords and is unable to continue musical activities.
In his blog, Jui expresses how sorry he is that this happened and that he wants everyone to wait for him and keep believing in Vidoll. He also mentions that he will need to have surgery because of his vocal cords, and it may be a while before he will be able to safely sing again.

They will officially go on hiatus after their live held on September 18, 2010 at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST.

Let us hope Jui recovers as quickly as possible. Best wishes to him and the rest of the band!

the WoRLD on hiatus

Posted by Paisley On May - 26 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Unfortunately, the new band the WoRLD has already been on hiatus, so soon after beginning their activites. Their hiatus was made official after their live held at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 on May 10th of this year.

However, all the members plus their support drummer 真実(Masami), who was a former support member for Ancestral, will all still perform at the remaining live held at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on May 28th up to their live held at Sendai HooK on August 9th. Although, it will be under a different band name.

Some truly unfortunate news for グルグル映畫館(Guruguru Eigakan) fans. The band will be going on a activity pause due to vocalist Amano’s health. Amano said that he will keep his condition a secret, but it has been going on for about two years or so, but he never really thought much of it. He said it never really hit him until he lost complete consciousness on stage in late 2009.

Hopefully Amano will take better care of himself and gets better. It would be a sad day in the music world if we lost a great band like them.

Activity pause for 9GOATS BLACK OUT

Posted by Paisley On April - 27 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

There is a bit of unfortunate news for fans of 9GOATS BLACK OUT recently.  It seems they will temporarily pause activities on May 7th of this year, after their one-man live called “the Orphee” which will be held at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO.

The reason for this decision is simply because the band members would like to prepare for their future musical activities.

While that is not exactly cause for panic, fans are sure to worry. But, perhaps the members really do just need a break for a while and hopefully will start up activities soon enough!

More unfortunate news, this time regarding the band NaiL.

After their first anniversary one-man live at Ikebukuro CYBER on May 3rd of this year, they will be on hiatus. The decision was due to musical differences among members.

C4 Losing Guitarist SHUNSUKE

Posted by Kaiden On April - 11 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

SHUNSUKE, guitarist of C4 will be leaving the band as of the 11th of April. He decided that instead of being in the band, he would like to focus on his solo project THE FUZZ. The band will also be going on a very short hiatus and promises to return with a new guitarist. They’ve left a message on their OHP, here is what it said.

04/11 Activity News

On the behalf of C4and Keasler Japan Limited, we have an important announcement.

We were currently in the middle of C4’s meeting which concerned the monthly live that the members produce. However, at this present time, guitarist SHUNSUKE has made it clear that he would be leaving so he can primarily focus on his solo project THE FUZZ.

Accepting his decision, the members and staff were in talks over what they should do about their live activities, and unfortunately it came down to the decision that C4 should go on a short temporary hiatus.

However, this does not mean that the band has any intentions of disbanding, because they don’t. When they get a new guitarist, they will be able to perform again and resume activities.

04/24 Harajuku Astro Hall
05/23 Shinjuku Loft

As for the aforementioned lives above, these will be the last lives with the band until they go on hiatus. If you can come, please do.

I recently mentioned that ASPHALT FRUSTRATION would be going on a new tour entitled “autochrome”. Unfortunately, just checking their site recently, there was an important announcement. I’ve translated it below.

- Notice -

It’s sudden, but we, ASPHALT FRUSTRATION, will go on a indefinite hiatus on our Daikanyama live, which will be held on the 9th of April. Each member really thought about what would be best for them for a while, and this is the decision we’ve come to.

To all of our fans, and to the people whom have watched and supported us thus far, we’re truly sorry for this. With the remaining lives in Nagoya, Osaka, and Daikanyama, we want to maximize the strength in our performance to it’s very peak.

- All Members of ASPHALT FRUSTRATION

It’s sad to see them go, but hopefully smaller projects will spawn from this.

Posted by Noah On March - 18 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Bad news for fans of Wood Stock, the band has announced recently that they will be going on a hiatus.

The band participated in their final live, entitled, “タキプロードマニュアル-Baba of February-” (Takipuroido manual) before the hiatus just last month on February 20th at Takadanobaba AREA. Additionally, at this live, the band released a live-only single, entitled, “LAST screen” that was priced at only ¥500.

This will be their final live until their return, unfortunately, they don’t seem to be giving any clue as to when they do plan to return. However, we will be sure to keep everyone updated once we find out more!
