Közi x goatbed’s Shuuji Joins Forces!

It has been spreading like wild fire that Közi will be in a new band named XA-VAT with former vocalist of goatbed, Shuuji. Unfortunately it seems to be just another one of Közi’s popular session bands. It’s unfortunate, but maybe there is some rhyme or reason to Közi’s insanity. The band is a three piece with Shuuji on vocals, Közi on guitar, and Sadie Pink Galaxy.

The session band seems to have another Közi-esque website with a bunch of images to click that lead to nowhere, but maybe just maybe there will be actual info on there at some point. According to Twitter sources, they will be debuting in December on the 22nd at Liquid Room. We’ll get more info for you guys when we find reliable sources!

With the sudden and unexpected disbandment of Ayabie, I’m sure many of us are wondering what the former members have been up to in the meantime. Despite already forming DNL with his fellow ex-Ayabie members, Intetsu will be joining a new session band called himitu_intetsu. The band’s debut performance will be at Lc5’s Beautiful:madnesS vol.5-strAnge SummeЯ- live on the 19th this month! The rest of the lineup looks like this:

Karasu Announces New Single!

Super group カラス(Karasu) announced good news on the 15th via their official MySpace. They will be releasing a brand new single this fall! There’s no details as into what the single will be named or the contents. However, they did mention that their song from the single will be the opening for an anime.

That anime being Battle Spirits Brave. You can catch the new opening theme starting on the 12th of September. The show airs from 7:00~7:30 in the morning. As for the single, they will be releasing information very soon, so stay patient! We’ll definitely post about it if we hear anything.

monaural curve will having their 3rd year live in August at Takadanobaba AREA on the 27th! They will be celebrating it at emmuree’s summer festival “Sultry Night”. They have a very important announcement on that night, so don’t miss out on this. They will be revealing two new members, making monaural curve a 5 piece band!

THE TOKYO HIGH BLACK’S Comment Video

The TRIBAL ARRIVAL Vol.100 has passed, but the members of THE TOKYO HIGH BLACK are still under scrutiny. Music Japan Plus has provided a video of the three members as well as three new faces who will apparently be support members. You can watch the video below:

As you can see, each member has come up with a funny new stage name in order to hide their identity. But I’m sure most of you readers recognized most of them! It seems that nearly everyone has been having a hard time pinpointing GEY and Tako though, but with some help from Kaiden, I believe we have figured it out!

Yoshiki and Toshi to Perform at Japan Expo

It seems that Japan Expo has recently updated their guest list! Yoshiki and Toshi, the founding members of X Japan, have announced that they will not only be making an appearance at this year’s Japan Expo in Paris, but that they will be doing a special duet together as well! Their performance will take place at the J.E. Live House on Sunday July 4th. The two guests have also left a comment video just for their French fans! Yoshiki even delivers the entire message in French! You can check it out through the link below:

Shinya Joins Twitter!

神夜(Shinya), the “Oyama” behind the band ROZERO-ロゼロ-, has been quite active online these days. Participating in such sites as, Ameba, YouTube, and MySpace. He recently made himself known on Twitter as well! He has been going around adding a lot of fans at random! So why not make the job easier and follow him!

Fun Fact: BUCK-TICK cover band

Wondering where band-men like Loki (former vocalist of Sugar) or Yune (former drummer of the GazettE) are now?

Well it seems they are going to be performing in a special event! ONE NIGHT BALLET MOONLIGHT HIBIKI is a BUCK-TICK cover session band made up of members that most of you will recognize from other bands!
They are scheduled to perform the BUCK-TICK TRIBUTE FESTIVAL held at Shinjuku MARZ on June 27th of this year.

It seems a brand new session band has formed called THE TOKYO HIGH BLACK and many fans will quickly recognize it’s members!

Lolita23’s Serious Announcement in June

On the 9th of June, 少女-ロリヰタ-23区(Lolita23) is finally coming out of their small break and performing live! However this time, it will be considered a session band as the line-up has changed ever so slightly. It will feature コゴエ(Kogoe), who used to play for the band キナルラ(kinarura). Fun fact about Kogoe, he is also the Lolita23’s manager.

Introducing new band, STRIVE

The session band farcen has decided to become a formal band after their live at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 which will be held on June 17,2010. They are also changing their name to STRIVE.

They will hold their first live as STRIVE on August 19th, 2010 at Shibuya O-WEST.

Session band for ex-BarKiraca members

Last year, we reported BarKiraca had decided to disband. However, there is a bit of a update on the on the former members of the band!

Ex-BarKiraca members are now in a session band called “MADWIMPS”. They are set to perform at HOLIDAY OSAKA on April 26, 2010.

The members are all from BarKiraca (even former support drummer Yoshida) with the exception of the vocalist Kaiji.

Session band REECH Upcoming Big Announcement!

Some great news for those wondering whatever happened to guitarist ねお (Neo) after he withdrew from Velqrow just last year on December 2nd.

While his withdrawal led to the eventual disbandment of the band which took place within the same month that he left, Neo has already returned to the stage with a new project called REECH! The project is currently only a session band, however, they have been performing for a while now, since earlier this year.

Also, according to his personal ameblo, the band has already recorded their first album, however, no other details have been released just yet. That isn’t the end of the exciting information revealed in his ameblo either! According to another entry, REECH will be “evolving” soon on April 22nd, the announcement will be made on that day at their live at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3. What does this mean for the session band? We can’t say for certain, but with the planned album release and their professional photoshoot it looks likely that they could become an official band soon!
