DUTCH Leaves INO HEAD PARK

Posted by Kaiden On August - 21 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Another sad announcement today. Vocalist DUTCH of INO HEAD PARK will be leaving the band. He announced that after the 18th of August he will no longer be able to participate in the band’s activities due to health complications.

The doctor informed DUTCH that if he continued on in the band his health problems would only get worse. So in order to take better care of himself, him and the other members decided that he should follow the doctor’s orders. DUTCH appologizes for such a short notice, and that he hopes that everyone will continue to support INO HEAD PARK. He also went on to thank all of the fans for their love and support.

TAKUYA AND SUSSY will most definitely continue INO HEAD PARK into the future! So they hope that the fans will wait in anticipation for their return.

vistlip in Car Accident

Posted by Justyne On July - 30 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

Late last night, the members of vistlip and their manager were involved in a terrible car crash. There were 8 people total riding in the van that belonged to Tomo, vistlip’s vocalist, as they drove back from a concert. Around 1 am (Japan time) the van crashed into the side of Nagae Tunnel in Nakano resulting in the death of vistlip’s manager, Asako Sakakibara, who was thrown from the vehicle and died from the impact.

The other passengers, including the members of vistlip, were treated for minor injuries and there have not been any other fatalities reported, thus far. As of now, there haven’t been any reports stating the cause of the accident but perhaps we’ll see word from the band members themselves about what happened.

We hope the band can recover from the tragic loss of their manager and that they heal quickly from the injuries they might have sustained.

Moran’s Zill Passes Away

Posted by Kaiden On July - 24 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

This is yet another tragic blow to the hearts of fans. Bassist of Moran, Zill, passed away yesterday due to an illness he has been battling for quite some time now. We have mentioned before that Zill had to temporarily withdraw from Moran to regain his health.  Unfortunately things must have taken a turn for the worse, and we must sadly report that he is no longer with us.

Soan has announced to the world that his comrade has left us today. Him and Zill’s family have left a message, both of which are translated below.

Message from Zill’s Family:

To everyone who has been supporting Zill, and Moran.

On the 23rd of July, Moran’s Zill passed away suddenly, due to illness. We are truly sorry for the fans and concerned people who have been so concerned and worried. The wake and the funeral will be planned for family only.

For all of who who have constantly shown support to Zill, Minami, and Saburo, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you so very much.

Moran Zill’s Family

Members of Moran and Staff’s Message:

Moran’s bassist, Zill has passed away on July 23rd.

We would like to thank those of you who have been supporting Zill and Moran so far. We had planned on returning to our activities as a band at the end of this year. However, it is really hard for us to conceal all of the pain we’re going through right now from his death.

We scheduled for a oneman tour named “Freeze” and it would of been held at Nagoya Bottom Line in August on the 9th, but because of the current state of things, we don’t know what we’re going to do.

The time for this live is looming over our heads, but surely we will make an announcement concerning our decision soon.

I will forever be grateful to all of you.

As Noah mentioned, Daisuke has passed away. There’s little to no information about his death, but I found this article on holiday blog. Written by a man named Wantanabe Yuji, an entertainment reporter.

__________________________________________

Before the release of his new song! Ex member of the visual kei rock group Kagerou, the charismatic vocalist Daisuke (Real name: Daisuke Oshida, age 32), was found dead in his Shibuya apartment. According to the rumors going around, no foul play was at hand, but they suspect either suicide or an accidental death.

( he goes on to talk about the history of Kagerou/the studs etc here )

Authorized staff mentioned that there would be an album releasing in autumn after the new single released. Also plans for a European tour, and a possibility of going to America as well.

After a meeting about the tour and future releases, Daisuke mentioned that he was having trouble sleeping. Supposedly after returning home Daisuke may have taken a large dose of sedatives and drank alcohol. A friend of his became worried after trying to contact him on several occasions and rushed to his apartment. At 2AM, said friend found Daisuke in his home dead.

Wantanabe Yuji’s Blog

There is some horrible and tragic news for fans today. According to the studs OHP, Daisuke (ex. Kagerou, the studs) has passed away. No cause of death is given in the announcement, however, it is known that he did have a heart condition which may or may not have been involved. The message seems to imply that he passed away earlier today and that there are plans for a funeral soon.

Here is the official announcement:

To the fans and affiliates,

We regret to inform all fans and affiliates that Daisuke was laid to rest on July 15, 2010.
In respect of the wishes of his family the funeral procession will be carried out with his closest relatives only. We thank you deeply for all your support for Daisuke up to now. Our utmost and heartfelt condolences go out to everyone.

This is really terrible news, our hearts go out to his family, friends, co-workers, and fans. May he rest in peace. We will keep an eye out for additional information.

Stereopony has recently announced that they will cancel all five shows of their upcoming tour in Japan for health-related reasons. Unfortunately, SHIHO, Stereopony’s drummer, has been diagnosed with tenosynovitis and will hopefully be taking this time off to be treated properly and recover.

In the meantime, the band hopes to have an announcement about the canceled tour for their fans on July 23rd. Steropony will also be making an appearance at the GIRL POP FACTORY showcase on August 1st, but whether or not this may have to be canceled as well is not made clear.

Tenosynovitis is a type of tendon inflammation, but is slightly different. The thin layer around the tendon becomes filled with fluid causing swelling and though it is treatable, it is painful and can cause difficulty moving that particular joint. This is especially devastating for a drummer as their instrument requires more physical health and mobility. We don’t know specifically how SHIHO has been effected, but we hope the best for her and a speedy recovery.

Some bad news and good news for GACKT fans. The great news is that he will be releasing another single later this month on the 28th, entitled, “EVER”. The new single will contain the title track which has been featured as the theme song for the multi-player, online RPG, Dragon Nest. Additionally it will also be made available in two different types, a regular CD only version as well as a CD+DVD version.

Track-listing:
01. EVER
02. UNCONTROL ♂狂喜乱舞edition♂
03. EVER (Instrumental)
04. UNCONTROL ♂狂喜乱舞edition♂ (Instrumental)

Those who haven’t had the chance to hear the new song can now do so on his OHP under the discography section!

However, the bad news is that GACKT has fallen rather ill as of late. It seems that he has been in and out of the hospital the past week with a persistant high fever. According to an early blog entry, it seems that the doctors are treating it with a form of steroids which has made him feel a bit worn out. It’s really unfortunate that GACKT had to spend his birthday in the hospital, but he did seem very touched with all the messages he had recieved from his fans. Hopefully he will get better soon!

KISAKI Hospitalized

Posted by Kaiden On June - 15 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS
, ,

There is some urgent news regarding KISAKI. He has recently been hospitalized due to what was assumed at first to be exhaustion from being overworked. Since KISAKI is known for being the type to overwork himself with little to no sleep. However things got a lot more serious the longer he stayed in the hospital.

According to the official message, KISAKI’s symptoms developed a year ago where he began having ulcer problems and had to receive ulcers. There was also a case of some neurological abnormality. Though, I know many are panicking right now, all of these symptoms could be from stress and lack of proper rest. He’s obviously being care for by all the right people, so there’s truly nothing to worry about.

Everyone who is close to KISAKI, which includes staff and fellow band mates got together today and made an important decision about the instore event. In stead of canceling the whole thing, they will show up as only four people with KISAKI in spirit of course.

KISAKI being the stubborn musician that he is wants to participate in Lin’s Shibuya O-EAST live on the 18th of June. However nothing is clear on rather or not he can do this or not. We’ll definitely keep you updated on his condition!

Very unfortunate news for fans of ヴィドール (Vidoll)– they will be on hiatus.
It seems their vocalist ジュイ (Jui) has been having problems with his vocal cords and is unable to continue musical activities.
In his blog, Jui expresses how sorry he is that this happened and that he wants everyone to wait for him and keep believing in Vidoll. He also mentions that he will need to have surgery because of his vocal cords, and it may be a while before he will be able to safely sing again.

They will officially go on hiatus after their live held on September 18, 2010 at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST.

Let us hope Jui recovers as quickly as possible. Best wishes to him and the rest of the band!

Yoshiki Undergoing Surgical Treatment

Posted by Rachel On May - 28 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

X JAPAN’s YOSHIKI has undergone a surgical treatment to ease the numbness in his left hand on May 27th before noon, local time, at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in California, USA. The procedure was to relieve the pain in his nerves and he is meant to recover in 2 to 3 days, without any further affects on his work thereafter. Before the surgery, YOSHIKI commented “I am feeling rather positive about it. Toshi and the other members are all close by, so I am completely fine.”

After the surgery last year, he had said that a 100% recovery is impossible, however, as a drummer and pianist in need to fascinate his fans, YOSHIKI decided to undergo an additional operation.

This year from August 6th to 8th, in Chicago at the Lollapalooza Festival X JAPAN are going to perform, followed by their two-day performance on August 14th and 15th at the Yokohama Nissan Stadium. The surgery had been scheduled in consideration of these events as much as X JAPAN’s recording businesses.

Last week, in accordance to the album release in August, guitarist SUGIZO has also been traveling to the USA for further progress of the works. “The recording is also going fairly well, therefore I am looking ahead positively”, YOSHIKI said, facing the challenges the band has to face.

Terrible news for fans of SOPHIA, keyboardist 都啓一 (Keiichi Miyako) has been diagnosed with lymphoma. According the TokyoGraph, the announcement was made on Sunday that Keiichi has fallen ill with the disease and will have to take a break from the band’s activities in order to recieve medical treatment. Here is TokyoGraph’s report on the unfortunate news:

Rock band SOPHIA announced on Sunday that keyboardist Keiichi Miyako (38) has been diagnosed with lymphoma. As a result, he will be taking a break after the band’s current tour in order to undergo medical treatment.

Miyako, who is married to singer Ruriko Kubo (40), experienced swelling of a lymph node in early February. He underwent exploratory surgery on February 17 to determine the cause, and it was discovered to be lymphoma.

Currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut, SOPHIA is in the middle of a tour that is scheduled to end on April 10. Miyako will focus on treatment after that, while the other four members of the band continue with their solo activities.

It was recently announced that SOPHIA has been invited to perform at Anime Expo in Los Angeles (July 1-4). The band will still attend as planned, though Miyako will be absent.

For those unfamiliar with lymphoma, it is a form of cancer that usually begins to form in the lymph nodes, hence the noticable swelling Keiichi was experiencing. While the disease is in many cases incurable, it is unlikely to become fatal for the keyboardist. He probably will be away for some time as chemotherapy will most likely be the treatment of choice for the disease.

This is very sad news, especially for fans. We wish him the best during this difficult time and hope that his lymphoma will react well to the treatment.

Gakido recently updated their OHP with some more information concerning their car accident that happened on the 12th. Check out our translation below:

When the van turned on it’s side, he was caught between the car’s frame and the street causing severe injuries. According to the hospital, he currently has a fractured shoulder-blade, a orbital fracture, a head contusion, a gash on his forehead, and bruises all over his legs.

Gakido In Major Car Accident

Posted by Kaiden On February - 14 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

There’s some unfortunate news for fans of Gakido. On the early morning of February 12th around 9:20AM, bassist Rito was driving Gakido’s van was traveling down the Shin-Meishin Expressway, to their live in Nagoya. Everything seemed fine until the right tire in the back blew, driver Rito couldn’t gain control of the van, and as a result, the van went into a roll.

As the accident occurred, Piyo’s body was thrown from the van, and he was killed instantly. TOSSY and a fellow staff member is currently hospitalized, however TOSSY is conscious. The other members seem to be alright, with only small wounds that needed a few stitches.

It is very surreal, as you can check their blogs, a few of them posting only hours, if not even minutes before the accident had happened.

After the remaining members gathered together, they left messages relating to the incident on their blogs. We’ve translated them for you below:

- Rito

I have an announcement everyone. Yesterday we were traveling to the next destination on our tour, but we had a terrible car accident. I’m sorry that it’s been difficult to write.

I was the one whom was driving the van at the time. I noticed that the left wheel in the back had busted, and I tried to control the van as best I could, but the van went into a roll and it was difficult to control. My inability to control the vehicle resulted in damages.

As the van had rolled, Shutaro and Piyo were thrown from the van, he hit his head really hard and took his final breath. I think he may have died instantly. Surprisingly, Yohya and Yuu managed to get away from the wreckage with only a few minor injuries. Shutaro was another person who suffered severe wounds to his body. His injuries required three stitches on his side, but he can walk on his own. He decided that he did not want to stay in the hospital.

TOSSY suffered a great deal of injuries as well on his entire body. He needed stitches, but none of his injuries will threaten his life thankfully. The staff member whom was also riding with us had a similar amount of injuries, and were also not life threatening. Though, both of them are still in the hospital to make sure that nothing went unchecked, and that they will be alright.

As for myself, I took a hit to my right side, my shoulder mainly was injured, and I had to get a few stitches on my head. I can walk on my own and my consciousness is clear.

Sometime soon, maybe a few days or so, we will give all of the details regarding the incident and about our activities on the OHP.

We’re truly sorry for making you worry, sincerely we are.

All of our friends and fans who have managed to contact us, and to all of those connected to the band, we are grateful for your efforts.

- Yohya

This is to everyone who is somehow connected to Gakido.

Before I say anything else, I want to appologize to anyone who has been worrying. We thank you for all of the messages that all of you have been sending us with your concerns and supportive messages.

On the morning of February 12th, members and staff of Gakido were traveling in a van. On the route to Osaka to Nagoya, we got into a car accident. The back wheel on the van busted and Rito lost control of the steering, the van rolled, and there was severe damage.

Yuu and I only have small wounds, however Rito’s body took a hard blow and had to have head stitches. Shutaro took a hard blow also to his entire body, and also had to get stitches, but only three on his side. The four of us were fine and did not pass out, and we are now together and able to move on our own without help.

TOSSY and another staff member were really injured, and are in the hospital, however both of them are now awake and the doctors announced there are no life threatening injuries. Unfortunately, Piyo was thrown from the van and took a blow to the head, which resulted in his instant death.

This is the current state of things. We’re truly sorry for giving you a delayed reply. When we are able to deliver more information about our schedule, activity, etc, we will update the OHP.

- Shutaro

I’m really sorry for making everyone worry. You should know that everything is currently calm at the moment. When we were on the road from Osaka to Nagoya, and the back wheel bursted, there was no way to control the van, we ended up rolling. When we rolled, both Piyo and I were thrown from the van. I was even wearing a seat belt, and somehow I was still thrown out of the van.

My head, neck, back, legs, everything, I slammed into the ground very hard. I had to receive stitches in my side, only three though. Yohya and Yuu both had very minor injuries. Rito had head stitches, his right side was pretty messed up.

TOSSY had head stitches too, but we don’t know the severity of his injuries, but whatever it is, it isn’t life threatening. He will remain in the hospital though, along with our staff member who also has stitches. Piyo was thrown out of the van, taking a blow to his head, and died instantly.

When we are able to inform everyone about everything, including our schedule and everyone’s recovery, we will update the OHP.

Again, I’m very sorry for making everyone worry.

- Yuu

It took me a long time to update, I’m very sorry. I’m sure everyone already knows about the accident we had early morning on February 12th while we were on our way from Osaka to Nagoya. Our car accident.

The back tire blew, the van was unable to be steered correctly, and the van rolled, causing a great amount of damage.

Here are the specifics on the member’s injuries.

Yohya and Yuu only have minor injuries. Shutaro’s entire body was damaged quite a bit. Rito was hurt on his right side. TOSSY and our staff member are currently hospitalized with some bad injuries, but they will recover.

Lastly, is piyo.

There was a severe blow to his head which resulted in him dying instantly, it was absolutely terrible.

I’m truly sorry for this late announcement.

As for the the future, we will update our OHP with details. Our schedule and other things will be updated as well.

Please wait for our messages.

We will be translating various other messages regarding this situation, so please look forward to it, this is only part one of the translations.
